The Mahone tonearm cable is carefully designed and manufactured using fine-stranded OCC copper coated with a PE dielectric. The four conductors are evenly distributed, with an identical number of conductors and the same gauge. The conductors are tightly twisted, followed by a Mylar/copper shield for excellent EMI/RFI suppression. The Mahone comes standard with Zavfino’s ZV88 straight DIN or TAD-2R right-angle DIN connector for hassle-free connection to the tonearm. The Mahone offers crystal-clear reproduction, with jazz vocals rendered in a controlled yet natural manner and classical performances presented with all the depth and diversity intended by the composer.

The Mahone’s signal-carrying conductors, like all Zavfino cables, undergo an ultrasonic cleaning process in which the raw copper is passed through a high-frequency charged water bath to remove dirt, oil, and other impurities from the surface of the wire. This process also has the effect of reducing the cable’s break-in time required to achieve optimal performance.
