All Lenco’s record players I have seen, do have some play and wear in the bearing house. Especially the sintered bronze bushings are worn out most of the time. This is expectable after 50 years service…. Available now is a Titanium plated stainless steel bearing house to replace the old Lenco bearing house.
The LencoBearing comes complete with a ruby bearing ball and a thrust-plate machined out of a special quality, high resistant synthetic with an ultra low friction coefficient and a thickness of 5 mm., Audio Creative bearing oil and new felt ring. It fits all Lenco L-type record players. Result is a very smooth running platter, almost no bearing noise. Because Lenco uses different motor springs over the years, some combinations can cause problems with installing the new bearing. For that, a new set of motor springs is included. How to install the bearing and motor springs you can check on the Lenco instruction page.
What is in the package:
Note: the Lenco shaft is not included.
You will have to use the original Lenco shaft in this new bearing house.
