GrooveMaster GM2 for Technics

The stock Technics arm is good — but it was designed around cost constraints and mass production. The GrooveMaster GM-2 is not.
Easy fit
Replaces the stock arm in minutes via a dedicated adapter plate. Available in black and silver to match your deck. For fitting the Technics SL1200 mk.7 models al little soldering is needed. Please see the instructions. The SL1200G and 1300G models are equipped with a 5-pin Mini-DIN connector. No soldering is required.
Immediate Result
Tighter bass, improved tracking accuracy, and noticeably greater high-frequency resolution. Everything the standard arm falls short on — resolved.

TITANIUM ARM TUBE
GrooveMaster 2 — Titanium
The original GrooveMaster 2 configuration. The arm tube is titanium, custom-made and glass bead blasted for a clean matte finish. Titanium has a high stiffness-to-weight ratio and excellent internal damping — tight, controlled sound across the full frequency range.
Best for: detail retrieval, dynamics, and fast transients. Pairs well with a wide range of cartridges, From low-compliance to high compliance cartridges.
CARBON ARM TUBE
GrooveMaster 2 — Carbon
Uses a high-modulus carbon fiber tube in the same geometry as the titanium model. Carbon fiber offers a lower effective mass (but in case of the GM2 not too low) and a natural warmth in the lower midrange without softening transients. Strikes well paired with the silver or black Technics chassis.
Best for: a beautiful tonal balance — especially those running Moving Magnet cartridges. But the GM2 carbon also performs exceptionally well with low-compliance MC cartridges.

Purpose-built for Technics
The GrooveMaster GM-2 is engineered for an exact 215 mm pivot-to-spindle fit, with higher rigidity and increased effective mass to suppress resonances and stabilize the cartridge.
The dedicated adapter plate ensures a precise, color-matched installation that blends seamlessly with the original Technics chassis — no modifications required.
Compatible models: SL-1200/1210 MK7, SL-1300G, SL-1310G.
DESIGN & MATERIALS
Built without compromise
The combination of stainless steel and brass reduces micro-resonances, resulting in cleaner sound reproduction. The tonearm head is machined from aluminium and finished in silver or titanium grey via a high-quality anodizing process.
Every component — from the counterweight to the bearing pivots — is chosen to maximize performance while maintaining a timeless, minimalist aesthetic.

What makes the GM-2 outstanding
Developed with one goal: the most accurate tonearm possible for music reproduction. Every technical decision serves that purpose.
Counterweight
Precision-machined counterweight allows VTF adjustment to 0.01 gram accuracy. The counterweight rotation is smooth and repeatable for consistent, reliable setup.
Magnetic Anti-Skating
Contactless magnetic anti-skating mechanism — no friction, no spring fatigue. The magnets are bonded with two-component adhesive to prevent any form of resonance.
Adjusted via a rotary knob linked to the VTF setting for accurate, consistent compensation.
Cardas Tonearm Wire
The GM-2 is wired with Cardas tonearm cable throughout — durable, flexible, and low in capacitance. It exerts no force on the precision bearings, preserving tracking accuracy.
VTA Adjustment
A height scale on the bearing housing allows quick and precise VTA adjustment. This ensures smooth, accurate height setting.
Azimuth Adjustment
Full azimuth adjustment via headshell rotation. The headshell connects to the titanium tonearm tube via a precision-engineered, high-quality coupling.
Precision Engineering
Meticulous bearing tolerances minimize distortion and maximize audio accuracy. The tonearm maintains consistent tracking force across the full record surface.
